Hmm… Reminds me of an armadillo, so I guess you’ve made sure that your goal to make players think of similar animals of tady is succeeding!
… But why does everyone make Ankylosaurus brown/tan?

His color cheme is in line with Stegosaurus, Alamosaurus, and Triceratops in the game (all our armored herbivores have the red/yellow/tan color scheme). The non-armored herbivores are white/blue/yellow.

Excellent!
I was wondering when the next post would come. ;)
Glad to see some progress. :D

Yeah i noticed that color scheme. Why no green or brown? Im sure it would be fine to have one stereotypical dinosaur color.

Since the dinosaurs are sometimes small on screen we wanted to make sure they stood out from the landscape. And the landscape is dominated by green vegetation (and brown dirt), so we stayed away from using those colors. We thought a long time about the color schemes, trying to make them work symbolically, biologically, etc, while also working well for the game.

It looks like you thought hard about the game, dinos, and color. I love ecosystem games I look for them a lot, most people like shooter/action games. I think your ecosystem games are the best! can’t wait for this one to come out!
