Dino-a-day: Ornithomimus

Next dino: Ornithomimus!  Ornithomimus is closesly related to Gallimimus, the flocking dinosaur seen in Jurassic Park.  It was slightly taller than a human, and could probably run very fast.  Ornithomimus was most likely an omnivore, eating small plants and creatures.

As one of the smaller dinosaurs in the game, Ornithomimus mostly forages from the ground and makes a tasty snack for anyone who can catch this fast, ostrich-like dinosaur.

I like the coloration on it. I think the stripes are a good guess, because this seems like a herding animal, and the startle coloration would be effective in avoiding predators.

  2. Kahlil (ChanGuy) Says:

ChanGuy-the stripes remind me of the theory of zebras camo in a herd

  3. Hm… Should have some sort of more disruptive color, like orange, instead of white stripes. And maybe a splatch of some other color for signaling, or to draw predator’s attention away from the head and neck.

  4. When the heck will it be done
