Dino-a-day: Sauroposeidon

12 dinosaur species, 12 days of terrible lizardly fun!  Next up, Sauroposeidon.

Sauroposeidon was possibly the tallest animal to ever live, stretching to almost 60 feet high. While most of the huge cretaceous sauropods lived in South America, some have been discovered in North America.

  1. I’d like to see T-rex take on this fella. Jeez, almost 60 feet! I wonder how they’ll compare to other animals in the Venture games- will they be like an elephant, which doesn’t have any predators and is generally invinsible, or maybe some sort of musk ox, hard to kill but possible.

  2. I just noticed… the name is made of ’sauro’ like’sauropod’ and ‘poseidon’ like the Greek god of the sea. Just a thought. So why is it called that?

  3. Safaridude Says:

Sauroposeidon was named because sauro means “lizard” and poseidon was also the earthquake god, you know, refering to its size.

  4. If I was T rex I would hunt it in a pack and divide and conquer

  5. So ya know i only said that for an answer to snowstar if it was a question
