Andy Schatz – CEO, Founder
Andy was the sole programmer, designer, and producer on the company’s first title, Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa, which was built in 10 months on a budget of $8,000 and has sold over 70,000 copies worldwide. After that game was a Grand Prize finalist in the 2006 Independent Games Festival, Andy was asked to host of the 2007 IGF awards ceremony, which was attended by 3,500 and broadcast to 21 million viewers on the internet. Andy has been published in Game Developer Magazine and Gamasutra.com. His design and development skills have been specifically praised in Game Developer Magazine post-mortems, Gamasutra’s Media Consumption column, BusinessWeek Online, and more.
Prior to Pocketwatch Games, Andy worked as a Designer, an Artificial Intelligence Engineer, a Lead Programmer, and a Development Director. Among other things, he wrote the first Xbox Live code to ship to the public (Whacked!) and the first implementation of EA’s multiplatform internet layer (Goldeneye: Rogue Agent). He graduated from Amherst College with a degree in Computer Science and Fine Arts.

Donnie Bugden – Senior Technical Artist, Innovator
Donnie joined Pocketwatch Games in the spring of 2006 as a Senior Technical Artist. He started his career in web design and development for clients such as Qualcomm, Disney, and Cisco Systems. Then he moved into Game Design, Physical Computing and Animation while attending Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Donnie completed the BFA in Design and Technology and developed his Game Design Thesis, a project entitled “Associate Assistant of Departmental Operations” which was shown at the Chelsea Art Museum, the Parsons Gallery, the Landmark Bergen Kunsthall in Bergen, Norway, and the China Millennium Museum in Beijing, China. It was also positively reviewed by mtv.com, wired.com, vh1.com, rhizome.com, and kotaku.com. Donnie is also an Adjunct Professor at San Diego City College.
