Dinosauria dinos in another game!

I went ahead and preordered it, with the coupon code as well. This game looks like it'll be a lot of offbeat, random fun.

*Edits post* Turns out, when you preorder the game, you get a free copy of the original Off-Road Velociraptor Safari. This game is ridiculously fun, plus it's funny to boot. You can apparently do stunts with your vehicle, and I did one called a Barrel Roll, just by accident. The first thing I thought of was the famous internet meme, "Do a barrel roll!" which started in WoW. I laughed so hard. xD Also, when you hit a Velociraptor, you hear a sort of bird squawk, and feathers go flying everywhere.

Since I preordered ORVHD(wow, now there's an acronym for ya)I get to be a beta tester. Yay! I read on the site that a beta version might be coming out this month.

AWESOME I was glad to be able to help them out, they are friends of mine. And I'm so proud of the dinos, I didn't like that they were just sitting in a (virtual) warehouse, wanting to be out running around under the sun.

However, some people on the Blurst forums have been fantasizing about mounted harpoons...

I know, it makes me a tiny bit sad that the dinosaurs are the enemy, but I figure I can just root for the dinosaurs to win

Really, there is no way to blow it up. Drive it off a cliff 10 ten times and all that happens is it loses a door or something.

Ha, I was speaking facetiously. On the other hand, the new version has tons of new stuff, so maybe they CAN win!!!

Yeah, It IS hard to imagine a jeep running over a Sauroposeidon or even Tyrannosaurus Rex for that matter. Then again, you could crash on their heads if you wanted to.

I actually think I might get this game. I looked at a couple of videos of it on You Tube, and it doesn't look that bad! I wonder how my computer will handle it though, maybe I should get rid of those games I don't play any more... *glances at Spore and ZT2*

For those who aren't aware of it yet, Raptor Safari HD got cancelled. It is no longer available for pre-order and they took down the download for the beta as well. If you want a refund you just need to email them, and they also put the original version back on the Blurst website.

Yeah, I pointed that out on a thread, though I forgot which one. Too bad, I really wanted to see Andy's dinosaurs in action.

Same. The closest there is is some footage from the Raptor Safari promo vid (which shows the Gallimimus, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus, with a yellow-coloured dinosaur lying dead on the ground for a couple seconds too, which is either the Deinonychus or Utahraptor, though I can't tell which).
